Position Overview: We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Java Developer to contribute to a vital program within the defense sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, coding, testing, and debugging intricate software applications utilizing Java
  • Collaborating with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into technical specifications
  • Creating and maintaining software documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals
  • Engaging in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality
  • Diagnosing and resolving software defects and issues
  • Providing mentorship to junior developers and offering technical guidance as necessary
  • Staying current with the latest industry trends and technologies

Travel: Minimal

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Java Developer or in a comparable role
  • Strong command of the Java programming language and associated frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience in Web Application, Service, or back-end development
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms, including AWS or Azure
  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining APIs and API documentation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and tools, including Git & Jira
  • Experience with programming languages such as Golang, Rust, or Python
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks, including Svelte, React, or Angular
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Ability to create software solutions and tools from the ground up
