Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Brook + Whittle. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and dusting surfaces.
  • Clean walls, ceilings, windows, and other surfaces to ensure a high level of cleanliness and appearance.
  • Prevent and eliminate indoor pests by identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Empty trash and replace liners in restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and other areas.
  • Restock dispensers in restrooms and diners with necessary supplies.
  • Properly dispose of recyclable and non-recyclable trash and waste.
  • Clean sinks, toilets, and drains in restrooms.
  • Ensure custodial supplies are in stock or have been ordered.
  • Strip, wax, and buff floors as necessary.
  • Clean parking lot and grounds as needed.
  • Clean out diner refrigerator weekly.
  • Ensure snow is removed from walkways and the parking lot by cleaning sidewalks and spreading salt.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Available to work every 3rd weekend of the month.
  • Basic literacy and math skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand hazard communication standards.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

Regular exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. more than 50% of the time.

Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting and use manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.

Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision.

Incumbent regularly required to carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
