Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team at WS Development. As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be responsible for a portfolio of properties, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and variance analyses.
  • Manage a portfolio of properties, including complex staffed properties and less complicated properties.
  • Issue financial statements and reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare annual budgets for properties and respond to questions from outside auditors.
  • Work with tenants and internal clients to respond to inquiries and questions regarding assigned properties.
  • Manage cash for complex properties and maintain GAAP and Tax reporting.
  • Prepare Common Area Maintenance and Real Estate Tax tenant billings, Percentage Rent billings, and tenant water billbacks.
  • Review the work of less experienced Property Accountants and provide training and feedback.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 3 to 5+ years of general ledger / financial statement preparation in a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of MRI, Avidxchange, and Anaplan is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master various software.
