About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Manager to join our team at STERIS. As a leader in the healthcare industry, we are committed to providing innovative solutions and exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Lead training efforts and implement policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Interview and hire new employees, and coach existing employees to meet company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Assist Sterile Processing Technicians with instrument processing as needed.
  • Communicate and foster relationships with all levels of hospital staff and STERIS leadership.
  • Deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and review quality metrics with customers.
  • Ensure proper processes are followed by all Sterile Processing team members for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement team to streamline processes and create an effective and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of Sterile Processing Department experience required.
  • 2 years in an SPD supervisory/leader position.
  • Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM required.
  • Additional certification for SPD Management/Leadership is preferred.
  • Must meet with contracted and potential clients, develop and consult on presentations relating to the department's functions.
  • Must possess the ability to teach central processing certification courses.
  • Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
