**Responsibilities:**
• Respond to high-volume calls from clients seeking information and referrals for social services.
• Employ active listening skills to understand callers' needs and concerns.
• Demonstrate empathy and understanding while providing guidance and support.
• Identify and offer effective solutions to both expressed and latent needs.
• Connect callers with local resources that offer assistance.
• Utilize departmental database information to ensure efficient outcomes.
• Report inaccuracies in database information to the Resource group.
• Record caller data according to prescribed policies.
• Represent United Way 2-1-1 at community events to promote awareness of 2-1-1 services.
