Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Sales Specialist to join our team at bioMerieux Inc. This role will involve supporting Account Managers as a subject matter expert and technical sales content owner for the Molecular product suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Specialists, Sales Director, Corporate Account Managers, Marketing, and others to achieve assigned Molecular reagent and equipment goals.
  • Develop and execute business plans to meet or exceed revenue targets and growth objectives within the region.
  • Work cooperatively in a matrixed environment to advance and close opportunities.
  • Identify high-value targets and develop strategies to close identified opportunities for new business.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline to ensure target close dates and expected revenue dates align with month-to-month forecasting.
  • Maintain internal networks with Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales Contracts, Customer Service, Legal, Finance, and other key functions.
  • Gather and share competitive knowledge and activity with sales teams, marketing, and other colleagues.
  • Provide coaching and objection handling guidance to Account Managers.
  • Establish relationships with key customers and opinion leaders.
  • Support and participate in relevant conferences, trade shows, and symposia.
  • Manage operational/travel expenses within a set annual budget.
  • Deliver effective Sales Call Management, Opportunity Management, Pipeline Management, and Forecast Accuracy.
Requirements
  • AAS degree in Sales, Business, or Science preferred.
  • Clinical lab operations and molecular knowledge preferred.
  • Sales experience required; Capital sales experience preferred.
  • Formal sales competency training preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AAS plus a minimum of 5 years of clinical diagnostic sales required.
  • Infectious disease market experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Molecular technologies, techniques, and disciplines preferred.
  • Proven track record in exceeding territory Capital and Reagent goals preferred.
  • Proven track record of consistent top finishes within sales team preferred.
  • Experience selling Capital equipment preferred.
  • Experience selling into Molecular labs preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite of products.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM.
  • Ability to maintain a structured and detailed sales opportunity funnel.
  • Ability to accurately forecast and project capital equipment sales in a large territory.
  • Ability to describe and explain highly detailed technical information to multiple buying influences.
  • Fundamental knowledge of laboratory operations.
  • Ability to operate in an organized manner in an autonomous work environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Territory management over a large geographic area.
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert on complex diagnostic automation and processes.
