AIRMATIC, a leading Distributor and Manufacturer of tools and equipment for the Industrial and Construction sectors, is seeking a qualified Power Tool Repair Technician to join our state-of-the-art Service and Assembly Shop. Our Technicians are responsible for performing mechanical repairs on customer-owned pneumatic and electric tools and equipment, as well as assembling and testing our proprietary equipment such as Motor Starters, Railcar Gate Openers, and Concrete Screeds. Additionally, they will conduct mechanical maintenance and repairs on our facility's equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret project plans, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assist with the preparation of welds, including deburring, grinding, chipping, and hammering workpieces to achieve the required surface finish.
  • Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly using various measuring tools.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Clamp, hold, heat bend, grind, or bolt component parts to achieve necessary configurations.
  • Utilize precision instruments to inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances to meet specifications.
  • Support general site work, including loading and unloading equipment, site preparation, and clean-up tasks.
  • Maintain work areas, assigned vehicles, and tools in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights up to 250 feet.
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Adaptability to work in various weather conditions.

Compensation:
  • Hourly wage for AIRMATIC Field Service Industrial Mechanic ranges from $20 to $25, based on experience.
