Job Title: Industrial Machinery Mechanic

At Havpak Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings to identify problems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Maintain critical spare components inventory to support 24-hour operations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair with production and quality assurance teams.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting all aspects of equipment operations.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Define and maintain critical spare components and work with local machine shops for fabrication.
  • Operate small equipment like grinders, drill press, measuring equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Assist with equipment training and technology transfer to operators as needed.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and/or preferred technical degree in maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an electrical and mechanical support role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in performing industrial mechanic skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Effective communication and writing skills with multi-functional groups (QA, Engineering, Production).
  • Proven problem-solving skills and prioritization of tasks.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and programs preferred (TPM, OEE, etc.).
Working Conditions:
  • Majority of work hours are spent in the production rooms maintaining miscellaneous equipment with moderate to loud noise levels when equipment is running.
Physical Requirements:
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and using hands to fix machines throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel:
  • Local travel may be required for this position.
