We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Disaster Program Manager to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our disaster response team, you will be responsible for leading and managing disaster response efforts in assigned geographic areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for implementing disaster cycle services programming throughout the assigned geographic area.
- Develop and support disaster volunteers who are the primary workforce, and representative of the communities they serve, both culturally and linguistically.
- Engage and mobilize communities and partners with specific functional expertise and assets to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.
- Manage in a matrix environment with internal partners, including employees and volunteers.
- Act as the Red Cross disaster subject matter expert within assigned geographic areas, to maximize Red Cross presence and community engagement and mobilization.
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program or service.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Competitive salary range: $75,270 - $80,280.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with 5% match.
- Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements.
