Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Chemistry courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field and possess excellent teaching and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time position, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. The work schedule will vary depending on class time, and instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemistry courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate student progress and inform students in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
