About the Role

The Sales Representative will work closely with a Sales Associate to assist in the strategic planning, direction, and coordination of marketing and selling Stryker products to healthcare professionals. The role demands adherence to budgetary goals while maximizing profitability and sales volume in alignment with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Associates in the promotion and marketing of Stryker products.
  • Provide education and information to medical staff regarding the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products, including updates and changes to the product line.
  • After comprehensive product training, customize Stryker's promotional messaging based on customer insights, advise on product selection, and address inquiries regarding product functionality.
  • Oversee product evaluations in clinical and office environments.
  • Assist in organizing and executing trade shows, conventions, and clinical meetings.
  • Regularly update the regional manager on territory performance.
  • Resolve product-related issues for customers promptly.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of product samples.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations during product evaluations.
  • Utilize Stryker's SIS program effectively.
  • Adhere strictly to all GMP policies and procedures as mandated by the FDA.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in an external sales role, preferably in medical fields.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Completion of field sales training and in-house product training program.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Strong communication skills, both in group settings and over the phone.
  • Familiarity with common office equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% overnight annually.
  • Capability to negotiate pricing and terms with customers.
  • Proficient in resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Thorough understanding of all products, including their features and advantages over competitors.
  • Ability to analyze market potential and prioritize customer engagement accordingly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
