Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistant to join our team at Loma Linda University Medical Center. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team and leadership to provide full support and financial management for all accounts.

The ideal candidate will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting data on a daily and monthly basis, attend weekly and monthly financial meetings with leadership, and prepare weekly check requests and payment vouchers for all payables, including a weekly review of accounts receivables.

Additionally, the Financial Assistant will be responsible for monthly reconciliation of account receivable aging reports, assist leadership as needed to support special projects and reporting requirements, and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree and a minimum of three years of financial/accounting experience, or five years of relevant experience without an Associate's Degree.
  • Proficient use of 10-key or calculator and personal computer (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software).
  • Quicken financial software knowledge is preferred.
  • Good clerical and filing skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and detail-oriented with a clear understanding of accounting and math principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
