Job Summary:
As a key member of the Loma Linda University Medical Center team, the Financial Services Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient registration and authorization processes.

Responsibilities include verifying patient eligibility, benefits, and demographics, as well as confirming billing information and initiating authorization for services.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum two years of experience in authorization, registration, or insurance verification
  • Knowledge of health insurance networks and ability to read, write, and speak English with professional quality

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coding certification

Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure, as well as collaborate and accept direction. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in English, think critically, and manage multiple assignments effectively.

Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents.
