Nurse Clinic Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Clinic Lead to join our team at Christus Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support duties, including assisting with department process improvement, back-up to the manager, maintaining supplies, coordinating schedules and meetings, and participating in training/in-services for clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintains daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services.
- Keeps manager informed of any issues with patients, staff, or physicians that are beyond their comfort level or are questionable, promoting a culture of transparency and open communication.
- Orders departmental and medical supplies, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to support clinical operations.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance/repair, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and meets regulatory standards.
- Conscientious of maintaining budget/spending, conferring with manager to ensure that all expenses are justified and aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitors quality control standards, including immunization logs, waived testing, drug sample logs, equipment sterilization logs, etc., to ensure that all clinical operations meet regulatory requirements.
- Resolves less complicated patient, staff, and physician issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to clinical operations.
- Assists with evaluating associate performance and recommends merit increases, manager disciplines, and other personnel actions as needed.
- Reports to the manager any associate non-compliance with approved policies, promoting a culture of accountability and adherence to organizational standards.
- Monitors associate work schedule and PTO requests, ensuring that all staff are adequately covered and that patient care is not compromised.
- Makes sure NCHD referrals are appropriate, ensuring that all referrals are made in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Assesses departmental staffing needs, actively participating in resourcing efforts to ensure that all clinical operations are adequately staffed.
- Follows the CHRISTUS Health guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI), maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
- Uses oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission.
- Maintains established CHRISTUS Health policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, ensuring that all clinical operations meet regulatory requirements.
- Implements job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission and Code of Ethics and supportive of CHRISTUS Health's cultural diversity objectives.
- Supports and adheres to CHRISTUS Health Service Guarantee, ensuring that all clinical operations are delivered with the highest level of quality and compassion.
- Performs other related work as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
- Previous healthcare management experience preferred
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS
