Responsibilities
  • Oversee all cost accounting functions, including preparing and analyzing cost reports and identifying discrepancies
  • Coordinate with various departments to compile and interpret important financial data
  • Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving measures and strategies
  • Collaborate with the finance department to prepare budgets and financial forecasts
  • Conduct audits and recommend any necessary actions based on findings
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment
  • Provide strategic guidance on all cost accounting matters to senior management
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry
  • Strong ERP system experience, with experience in Oracle being highly desirable
  • Proficiency in IBM COGNOS TM1 is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
