Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality, presentation, and service to our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily culinary production, ensuring the preparation and presentation of meals meet the highest standards.
- Develop and implement menu plans that incorporate seasonal and local ingredients, while maintaining cost controls and profitability.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies, aligning with the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Manage department controllable expenses, including food cost, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, analyzing financial and operational information to adjust business plans and labor requirements.
- Develop and implement guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving areas, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management.
- Oversee the food inventory, purchasing, control, and disbursement of all food supplies, scheduling staff based on forecasted volumes.
- Empower employees to provide exceptional customer service, establishing guidelines and providing ongoing training to ensure guest satisfaction and retention.
- Regularly lead team member meetings, soliciting feedback and utilizing an 'open door' policy to address employee concerns and develop strategies to improve team member engagement.
- A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
- Extensive catering experience and high-volume, complex foodservice operations experience are highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and the Internet.
- ServSafe certified is highly desirable.
