Job Overview

The Chef de Cuisine is a pivotal role within our culinary team, responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in our food offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and lead kitchen personnel to achieve optimal performance and productivity
  • Supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to meet demand
  • Select and develop recipes, standardize production recipes, and ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and/or demonstrations as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • At least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • Verbal, reading, and written communication skills
