Job Summary

KSBW-TV, a leading NBC affiliate in Salinas/Monterey, CA, is seeking a skilled Media Sales Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for selling advertising to local businesses and negotiating rates with ad agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue across all available platforms, including television, digital, and print.
  • Prospect, contact, and present to new businesses to develop new revenue streams.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage an active account/client list to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conceptualize, create, and deliver sales proposals that align with station strategies.
  • Meet individual sales goals while contributing to KSBW's success.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in media or digital sales, or a similar sales field.
  • Proven track record of developing new business and non-traditional revenue streams.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a consultative customer-focused business environment.
  • Ability to work in a goal-structured organization with a focus on accountability.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience selling to business owners and understanding of qualitative research to drive sales efforts.
  • Related military experience will be considered.
  • Bilingual a plus.

This position is paid based on commissions, with a range of $50,000 to $70,000 depending on performance and other criteria set forth by management.
