In this role, under the supervision of a Deputy Labor Commissioner III, you will engage in a variety of analytical and evaluative tasks essential for the successful management of the Public Works Program. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough investigations and enforcing compliance with the Industrial Welfare Commission (IWC) orders and regulations pertaining to minimum wage, overtime, workers' compensation insurance, child labor, cash payments, unlicensed contractors, and other related enforcement duties.

To qualify for this Labor Compliance Analyst position, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria, including being reachable on an employment list, having transfer eligibility, or possessing reinstatement eligibility. Working Environment

This position is primarily office-based, situated in a climate-controlled environment, potentially within a high-rise structure. Work will be conducted in cubicles or shared spaces under artificial lighting, utilizing computers and various office equipment. Fieldwork may require the use of a state vehicle for training and related tasks, exposing you to various environmental conditions.

Additional Information

Some travel may be necessary, and there are potential telework opportunities available. Successful candidates will be expected to report to the designated office in person a few times each week, with specific days determined by operational requirements.
