Consumer Electronics Reliability Engineer

Apex Systems is looking for a Hardware Reliability Engineer to support our client, a frontrunner in the consumer electronics sector. This role is focused on ensuring the durability and dependability of innovative products.
Position Overview
The reliability team is dedicated to creating robust and dependable products that satisfy customer expectations. In this capacity, as a Hardware Reliability Engineer, you will oversee the reliability engineering for new and upcoming devices. Your responsibilities will include establishing new reliability standards and developing reliable technologies.
Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience - OR -
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong grasp of reliability statistics and testing methodologies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of consumer electronics to influence design for enhanced reliability
  • Must exhibit responsiveness, adaptability, and thrive in a collaborative team environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new testing specifications, methodologies, and coverage to ensure product reliability
  • Identify and assess product risks, collaborating with design teams to mitigate them
  • Conduct hands-on experimental design and execution
  • Perform reliability predictions for potential failure mechanisms on both developing and existing products
  • Collaborate with a skilled cross-disciplinary team and external partners to drive critical aspects of product definition, execution, and testing
