Position Overview:
The Territory Sales Executive (TSE) will cultivate and enhance distributor partnerships, providing education and motivation to distributor representatives to secure new distribution channels, increase volume in current accounts, and execute strategies at the chain level within a designated territory. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, revenue-oriented professional capable of swiftly establishing relationships to support a growth-focused sales strategy. This role involves managing distributor and Bottler business outcomes within the assigned Coca Cola Operating Unit region and ensuring the company's success in that area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identifying, targeting, and sampling both existing and potential accounts, individually and collaboratively with distributors, to optimize shelf space and product offerings within the territory.
- Training distributor sales representatives and newly appointed TSE personnel on product knowledge, company sales methodologies, procedures, and current promotions as necessary.
- Regularly attending distributor meetings to maintain strong communication and collaboration.
- Ensuring that distributor merchandising teams adequately service accounts based on sales performance and shelf/floor space secured by the TSE.
- Maximizing the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned region through the effective implementation of local and national sales initiatives.
- Coordinating marketing crew drive activities in various locations within and outside the assigned territory.
- Providing timely reports on daily sales activities and results as required by the company, supporting sales and bonus program objectives.
- Developing and managing partnerships to enhance performance, utilizing objective tools, information, and feedback to set regional and area performance goals.
- Ensuring the sales team adheres to company standards and operational procedures.
- Applying a strategic sales approach to target key markets and establish a strong presence in the territory; executing promotional programs and activities with key partners.
- Arranging for regular maintenance of the company vehicle and maintaining records of that maintenance, ensuring the vehicle is clean and organized to uphold a professional image.
- Managing sales forecasts and budgets to meet established goals and drive profitable growth for the assigned Operating Unit.
- Timely management of sales reporting obligations, including frequent sales updates and pricing surveys.
- Establishing and maintaining direct communication with all levels of the assigned distributor(s), including sales, merchandising, distribution/drivers, cooler services, and administration.
- Fully comprehending and utilizing all MEC tools and capabilities to maximize productivity and results in the assigned market.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Sales experience and/or a willingness to engage in sales training.
- Basic computer skills in various environments, including handheld devices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Capability to drive and maintain a company vehicle and travel within assigned territories, with occasional travel outside the territory as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and maintain an acceptable driving record to be covered by the company's insurance.
- Proficient in managing time, priorities, and expenses.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with job duties, including lifting and moving up to 65 pounds independently and greater weights with assistance; ability to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical activities related to selling and marketing products in the territory.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
- Proven knowledge of wholesalers, distributors, and retail customers, with the ability to build strong relationships and credibility with them.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation: Base Pay Range: $49,500 - $66,000
