Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Special Asset Management Unit and Cross Border Servicing to join our team at Bank of Montreal.   • Develop and manage a business/group program.
  • Review the program for effectiveness, consider industry trends, and recommend enhancements; make changes as required.
  • Process more complex transactions and activities.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies and issues or escalate to manager, as required.
  • Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes.
  • Identify business needs, design/develop tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for vendors; support the implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of vendor solutions.
  • Collaborate to execute loan servicing and monitoring requests.
  • Prepare customer notifications and billings, and process services and transactions including (but not limited to) loan advances/payments, wire transfers, billing for principal/interest/fees, monitoring collateral positions, financial exceptions, etc.
  • Execute and manage documentation to ensure that records are maintained in a proper manner.
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
  • Support change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within Bank of Montreal; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations.
  • Broad work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business unit's products and services, processes, and controls – In-depth.
  • Knowledge of standard desktop applications (i.e. Excel, etc.) and department systems and applications – In-depth.
  • Loan IQ experience.
  • Non-performing loan processing (asset).
  • Understanding of business unit's risk and regulatory requirements – In-depth.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $134,500 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The salary will be based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

The total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
