Job Overview

Stahly Engineering & Associates is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team, focusing on structural engineering initiatives. This role involves comprehensive engagement with all aspects of design while adhering to relevant codes such as IBC, IRC, ACI, and ASCE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the guidance of the Structural Manager.
  • Produce complete plan sets for managerial review.
  • Act as Project Engineer or Project Manager on design assignments, managing client relationships as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of technical processes and methodologies to enhance design efficiency.
  • Establish and uphold CAD standards for structural design drawings and details.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards within the department.
  • Provide insights on technical and code-related matters, ensuring uniformity across the department.
  • Maintain updated software tools to facilitate thorough and efficient design.
  • Safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of structural analysis and design, including lateral (wind and seismic) and gravity design across all major materials. Key qualifications include:

  • In-depth knowledge of significant structural design codes.
  • Proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting and Design.
  • Expertise in preparing structural design drawings and details.
  • Ability to foster relationships with departmental staff and clients.
Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required, along with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
