Job Summary

The Document Management Tech is responsible for supporting general department functions and operating and maintaining equipment used in automated mailing and imaging processes. This includes shipping of packages and freight items. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, control, and monitor PC-based mail processing equipment, including inserters, sorters, meters, and other equipment.
  • Ensure clarity of images and make adjustments as needed or seek technical assistance.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs, and schedule vendor maintenance as needed.
  • Document and report problems that interfere with daily production.
  • Maintain accurate meter readings and records.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of all jobs processed for mailing.
  • Stay up-to-date on USPS regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of material mailed daily.
Requirements
  • High School education, G.E.D., or equivalent.
  • One year of Print & Mail Center, Imaging Center, or related experience.
  • Confirmed PC skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and perform detailed work procedures under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in working hours.
  • Ability to perform arduous and/or repetitive physical tasks.
