As a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed pharmacists in the effective management of prescription orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid pharmacists in the preparation of medication orders, which includes:
Collecting medications, measuring, dispensing, packaging, and labeling, as well as restocking inventory as needed.
- Handling financial transactions via cash registers and card processing systems as necessary.
- Welcoming and supporting customers both in-store and over the phone.
- Upholding the mission and values of APOTHECARY RX INC in all tasks.
- Ensuring that all prescription preparations are verified by a pharmacist prior to distribution.
- Packaging medications for institutional use when applicable.
- Contributing to the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment.
- Taking refill requests from customers in person and via phone.
- Preparing necessary documentation for deliveries.
- Sending orders to suppliers as required.
- Managing incoming calls.
- Keeping track of dispensing supplies.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be legally registered and in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, or actively pursuing completion.
- Ability to perform tasks with precision, integrity, and reliability.
- Capability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift light objects.
