Job Overview

As a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed pharmacists in the effective management of prescription orders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Aid pharmacists in the preparation of medication orders, which includes:

Collecting medications, measuring, dispensing, packaging, and labeling, as well as restocking inventory as needed.


  • Handling financial transactions via cash registers and card processing systems as necessary.
  • Welcoming and supporting customers both in-store and over the phone.
  • Upholding the mission and values of APOTHECARY RX INC in all tasks.
  • Ensuring that all prescription preparations are verified by a pharmacist prior to distribution.
  • Packaging medications for institutional use when applicable.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment.
  • Taking refill requests from customers in person and via phone.
  • Preparing necessary documentation for deliveries.
  • Sending orders to suppliers as required.
  • Managing incoming calls.
  • Keeping track of dispensing supplies.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be legally registered and in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, or actively pursuing completion.
  • Ability to perform tasks with precision, integrity, and reliability.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift light objects.
