Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Texsan. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate registration of patients, as well as verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary signatures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to obtain all necessary account information, including demographic and insurance details.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
  • Calculate and collect patient liability amounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Ensure all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments, release of medical information, and payment of services.
  • Process patient charts according to established productivity standards and paperwork flow needs.
Requirements
  • 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration or medical records.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including data entry and record-keeping.
