The Patient Monitoring Specialist is responsible for the continuous observation of electronic monitors for multiple patients within a centralized telemetry monitoring station. This role requires the ability to identify both normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms effectively.

Key responsibilities include:
- Documenting any changes in rhythm and reporting these alterations promptly in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of arrhythmia recognition.
- Ensuring that monitoring equipment and necessary supplies are readily available and operational.
- Potentially providing pulse oximetry monitoring and reporting as needed.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A background in EKG/arrhythmia interpretation is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
- Successful completion of an EKG course within 90 days of hire/transfer.
- BLS certification is preferred (AHA).
