Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assembly and testing operations on heater systems, upgrade kits, modules, Teflon cells, and sub-assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure proper fit of assemblies by adjusting and replacing components as necessary.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of heater systems and modules according to established specifications.
  • Rework defective systems or module assemblies, replacing parts when required.
  • Set up test stands, assembly fixtures, and other testing equipment effectively.
  • Provide training to team members on product lines.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Transport parts for testing and completed items to the designated areas for shipping, stocking, or rework.
  • Prepare and package heater systems for shipment.
  • Identify product rejects for rework or disposal and complete necessary documentation.
  • Engage in statistical quality control activities.

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently, writing by hand, utilizing basic computer skills, and operating simple hand tools for crimping, cutting, stripping, and measuring.

Effective communication skills are essential, with continuous interaction in person. Visual acuity is required for detailed work, computer usage, and reading assembly drawings and instructions.

Work Environment:

General manufacturing setting with minimal chemical personal protective equipment in certain areas. May involve working with hazardous substances.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or mechanical assembly; or a combination of education and training.
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Advanced Technical Training is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Effective communication with peers and management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify issues and ensure operational functionality.
