We are looking for a skilled Risk Analyst to conduct comprehensive risk evaluations on the FHA multifamily housing portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in econometrics, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement predictive risk models, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with the project team and clients.
  • Analyze credit risk associated with multifamily residential, nursing home, and hospital loans through loan-level logistic regression and survival analysis models.
  • Enhance and operate a stochastic simulation model to forecast credit risk and outstanding insurance liabilities for both new and existing business portfolios.
  • Maintain a robust analytical support framework and a loan performance database encompassing over 2 million historical records spanning 40 years.
  • Formulate risk management strategies and conduct policy analysis for new loan insurance programs and modifications to underwriting standards.
  • Develop and validate a credit risk score utilized by clients as an early warning mechanism.
  • Ensure the quality of data collected from various sources for predictive modeling and analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other deliverables detailing the performance of multifamily residential and healthcare portfolios to both internal teams and clients.
  • Conduct all analytical and modeling tasks using SAS.
  • Propose improvements to streamline processes, enhance internal controls, and adhere to best practices in modeling.
Position Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing logistic regression and Monte Carlo simulation forecasting models.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis and experience in constructing and monitoring risk metrics.
  • Solid understanding of statistical and econometric principles with extensive analytical experience.
  • Proficiency in SAS coding is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of independent learning.
  • Focused on achieving agreed-upon objectives within designated timeframes.
