About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Credit Commercial Agriculture to lead our Commercial Agriculture credit team in delivering exceptional credit services to our customers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting goals and objectives that align with our association's overall strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural credit, with a minimum of 10 years of experience and at least 5 years in a leadership role. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide top-notch credit analysis and services.

As a Director Credit Commercial Agriculture, you will be responsible for approving or denying loans within your delegated authority, making recommendations for loans exceeding your authority, and establishing loan terms and structures to manage risk. You will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of our loan portfolio and reporting any adverse credit trends or risks to our Chief Credit Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Commercial Agriculture credit team
  • Lead and coach others to achieve results and instill trust
  • Monitor the quality of our loan portfolio and report any adverse credit trends or risks
  • Provide support for quality sales through analysis of large and complex loans and team customer calling
  • Maintain technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process development capabilities
  • Model organizational values and inspire a shared vision
  • Build strong relationships with sales, credit, operations, and other leaders and team members
  • Adjust and execute functional or departmental business plans to meet association objectives
  • Consult and coach the Commercial Agriculture staff to bring about desired results
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or a related field

Over 10 years of progressively responsible agricultural credit experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Strong leadership and coaching skills

Ability to analyze and solve complex problems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
