Credit Risk Modeler

We are looking for a skilled Risk Analyst to conduct comprehensive risk evaluations on a multifamily housing portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in econometrics, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement predictive risk models, manage project timelines, and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Estimate and validate logistic regression and survival analysis models to assess credit risk in multifamily residential, nursing home, and healthcare facility loans.
- Create, refine, and validate a stochastic simulation model to project credit risk and insurance liabilities for both new and existing business portfolios.
- Maintain a robust analytical support framework and a loan performance database encompassing over 2 million historical records spanning 40 years.
- Formulate risk management strategies and conduct policy analyses for new loan insurance initiatives and modifications to underwriting standards.
- Develop and uphold a credit risk scoring system utilized by clients as an early warning mechanism.
- Ensure the integrity of data collected from diverse sources for predictive modeling and analysis.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and other deliverables that detail the performance metrics of multifamily residential and healthcare portfolios to both internal teams and clients.
- Conduct all analytical and modeling tasks using SAS.
- Propose methods to enhance workflow efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and comply with best practices in modeling.
- Proven experience in developing logistic regression and Monte Carlo simulation forecasting models.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis and experience in constructing and monitoring risk metrics.
- Solid foundation in statistical and econometric principles, coupled with extensive analytical experience.
- Proficiency in SAS coding is preferred.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also demonstrating independent learning and self-motivation.
