Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Azure Administrator/Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in guiding the Microsoft Azure Stack HCI solution by spearheading engineering and design initiatives for the migration of on-premises server solutions to Azure Stack HCI.

Key Responsibilities

As an Azure Administrator/Engineer, you will:
  • Lead the development of systems of interest, overseeing the entire life cycle from requirements gathering to operations and eventual retirement, ensuring active involvement from domain experts, managing risks and opportunities, and customizing processes to align with project needs.
  • Utilize advanced consulting skills and extensive technical knowledge to devise innovative solutions for complex challenges. Operate with minimal supervision while mentoring and potentially overseeing junior team members.
Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Education: A minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 3 years with a PhD. Alternatively, a high school diploma with 12 years of relevant or military experience is acceptable.
  • Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and backup principles across environments such as Azure, AWS, Oracle, Google, or VMware Cloud, along with administrator or architect-level certifications.
  • 5 years of experience in systems architecture within a distributed enterprise setting.
  • 5 years of experience specifically in cloud architectures and migrations within an Azure environment.
  • 5 years of experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Experience in architecting and deploying Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in deploying IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS solutions, with over 5 years of experience in PowerShell scripting.
  • 5+ years of experience in large enterprise operations, including the identification, development, analysis, scheduling, and management of enterprise IT activities, solutions, risk mitigations, artifacts, and migrations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft's Azure Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions.
  • Clearance: DOD Secret Clearance.
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP) along with Operating Environment (OE) certification for Microsoft Platforms/Solutions.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:
  • Experience applying systems engineering fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Experience with enterprise server, storage, networking, software, and application services or equivalent depth in a single solution platform.
  • Collaboration experience with other enterprise technologists to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience in supporting and coordinating across senior-level organizations.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • CASP+ or CISSP Certification.
  • Microsoft Azure Certifications.

Compensation Range

The typical salary range for this position is $112,000 - $179,000, based on experience and other relevant factors.
