Job Overview

Top Dog Country Club is in search of a dedicated full-time Certified Dog Trainer - Canine Care Specialist to elevate our training initiatives and ensure pet owners can travel with confidence, knowing their beloved companions are enjoying a safe and joyful experience.

Do you possess a professional certification in pet dog training? Are you known for your playful demeanor that dogs naturally gravitate towards? Our certified dog trainers and canine care staff receive a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually. This compensation includes hourly wages (based on experience and expertise), uncapped commissions, and tips averaging over $6 per hour. The training component will be managed as an independent contractor with a 50% commission structure. Historically, our trainers have earned an additional $36,000+ per year beyond their hourly wages, while gaining valuable experience in pack behavior that is hard to find in other settings. We also offer a professional Board & Train Program and on-site home consultations.

Top Dog Country Club is a premier vacation destination for dogs, situated in a serene environment. Our facility offers canines a unique getaway filled with fun activities, including 5-6 hours of group play each day, facilitated by a dedicated staff focused on teaching essential social skills. With a background in hospitality, our founder brings over 14 years of experience from a leading international hotel chain. Additionally, we are committed to giving back, donating 10% of our profits to the Top Dog Foundation, which supports the rescue of senior dogs in need.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DOG TRAINER - CANINE CARE SPECIALIST

As a member of our canine care team, you will need a genuine passion for dogs and the energy to provide them with endless entertainment. Your role will involve playing with dogs outdoors, prioritizing fresh air and physical activity. You will actively engage with dogs to teach them vital social skills. A love for the outdoors and availability to work during weekends and holidays are essential. If you share our enthusiasm for dogs, ensuring the safety and happiness of our furry guests will come naturally.

CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER - CANINE CARE SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Pet Training Certification (CCPDT / CPDT-KA / IAABC / AABP / CBATI)
