Job Summary:

Broward Health Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to coordinate the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and dispensing of surgical instruments for daily surgical procedures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and dispensing of surgical instruments in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and standards of practice.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of surgical instruments, including inspection, cleaning, and sterilization.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of instrument processing and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the availability of properly prepared and maintained surgical instruments for procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of instrument processing and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Tech/Trade Certification preferred.
  • Certified Central Sterile Tech certification required.
