Position Purpose:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will engage in a cooperative setting to provide exceptional patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinical professional in a healthcare environment.

A Surgical Technologist is responsible for the technical duties associated with the 'scrub' role throughout the surgical patient's perioperative journey.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room and assist in patient readiness.
  • Equip rooms with necessary instruments, sutures, supplies, and apparatus; unpackage sterile materials and organize sterile setups for surgical procedures.
  • Conduct office tests and manage administrative tasks.
  • Evaluate supplies and equipment for procedures as dictated by the surgeon's preference card.
  • Exhibit the necessary skills and knowledge to arrange an operating room with appropriate equipment and instruments for specific surgeries.
  • Alert the circulator to any missing or malfunctioning equipment or supplies.
  • Practice cost efficiency by utilizing only the essential supplies required for each procedure.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a surgical technician program is preferred.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
