Key Responsibilities:
As a Transition Manager, you will:
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Identify necessary relationships and mechanisms for successful transitions, designing communication solutions as required.
  • Leverage your experience in a Mission Operations Center or Satellite Operations Center to effectively act as a liaison between operations and programs, facilitating the transition of new tools and technologies into operational use.
  • Advocate for operators during development phases, ensuring effective two-way communication among operators, developers, product owners, and initiative teams.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes, systems, and requirements related to specific capabilities or clients.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions ranging from straightforward to complex, executing on deliverable commitments that include workflow development, escalation path documentation, impact assessments, readiness review briefs, and training.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills based on strategic ConOps design, user needs, business requirements, incident management procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Technical Writers to ensure the necessary engagement for completing technical documentation deliverables for your assigned stakeholder teams.
  • Document work progress meticulously for collaboration and to keep operators informed of status and advancements.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and processes to maintain consistency and quality in project delivery.
  • Identify and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies with relevant team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must:
  • Be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field. Four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of related space operations experience, with at least one year in a Mission Operations Center or Satellite Operations Center.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex issues while rallying stakeholders towards solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with creative and resourceful follow-up abilities.
  • Show proficiency in facilitation and presentation skills in both live and remote settings.
  • Have experience in process development and workshop facilitation.
  • Be comfortable guiding teams through ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Possess a basic understanding of change management approaches and critical success factors.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
While not required, the following skills would be advantageous:
  • Experience in process development, six-sigma, or continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with software implementation.
  • Basic understanding of customer operations software and associated systems.
  • Experience in writing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Agile or SAFE Agile certification.
  • Skills in SharePoint or content management.
