Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers in identifying and selecting necessary automotive parts, recommend related products, promote current specials, and ensure customers are aware of the complete range of offerings.
  • Retrieve purchased parts from inventory. If a part is unavailable, ascertain its availability and inform the customer of the anticipated arrival date.
  • Handle incoming calls, providing pricing information and other relevant details, while capturing customer contact information.
  • Prepare orders for daily shipping, delivery, or customer pick-up.
  • Regularly review 'will-call' and 'back-order' files, returning unnecessary items to vendors or restocking them.
  • Support the parts sales associate at the service counter as needed.
  • Order parts that are out of stock as authorized by the Parts Manager.
  • Notify customers and the Service Department upon the arrival of parts.
  • Process cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy in the cash register.
  • Contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the parts department.
  • Receive and stock incoming inventory, verifying receipts against purchase orders.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure that merchandise displays are well-stocked, tidy, and attractive to customers.
  • Complete all required training as directed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse customer base.
  • Knowledge and experience in servicing motorcycles and other products offered by the dealership, or the capacity to learn quickly.
  • Experience with point-of-sale and computerized inventory systems, or the ability to learn swiftly.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
