Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic call center atmosphere, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks while engaging with customers and inputting data efficiently. Exceptional verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to clients via phone, chat, or email, ensuring they receive the necessary information or service and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Proactively engage with customers to identify their financial needs, recommend suitable products and services, and generate leads for the sales team.
- Participate in various sales initiatives and events.
- Resolve customer inquiries effectively, either during the call or through follow-up communications.
- Gather and assess information to offer optimal solutions to client issues.
- Deliver advanced troubleshooting support in a non-scripted environment.
- Navigate multiple systems and applications to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Assist customers in resolving technical problems while ensuring a positive experience.
- Effectively troubleshoot online banking concerns.
- Understand and refer banking products to enhance customer assistance.
- Maintain regular attendance, as in-person interaction with customers is a critical aspect of this role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with security protocols and confidentiality standards.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of six months to one year of relevant customer service experience.
- Prior experience in banking or a basic understanding of banking terminology is preferred.
- Familiarity with bank products and services is advantageous.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exemplary courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are vital for this role.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in operating multi-line phone systems and various technology platforms, including PCs and mobile devices.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Work Environment:
Employees will typically work in a climate-controlled office setting with moderate noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to perform essential functions of the job, which may include sitting for extended periods, using hands for repetitive tasks, and occasionally standing or walking. Regular attendance and the ability to operate standard office equipment are required.
