Position: Information Assurance/Security Specialist - Lead (Senior Level)

Certification Requirement: Must possess an IAM LEVEL III BASELINE CERTIFICATION.

Role Overview: The selected candidate will be integral to our efforts in supporting the F-35 IT Program Support Contract. This position involves delivering expert knowledge in information assurance and cybersecurity to the F-35 JSF Virtual Enterprise (JVE) network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain enterprise information assurance and security standards.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures, coordinating security programs for the organization.
  • Advise on information assurance/security solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify, report, and address security violations.
  • Define and fulfill information assurance and security requirements based on user, policy, regulatory, and resource analysis.
  • Support high-level customers in developing and implementing security doctrines and policies.
  • Apply expertise to both government and commercial systems, ensuring specialized security features are integrated.
  • Conduct analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
  • Analyze and establish security requirements for various computer systems, including mainframes and personal computers.
  • Provide integration and implementation of security solutions for computer systems.
  • Perform vulnerability and risk assessments throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Enhance information assurance effectiveness through problem-solving and resource management.
  • Draft and manage documentation related to information assurance activities, including milestones and progress monitoring.
  • Utilize automated management systems for analytical and advisory functions related to information assurance.

Education Requirements:

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required. A Bachelor’s degree with an additional four years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten years of practical experience in computer security, including secure network design and implementation.
  • Five years of management experience in a related field.
  • Two years of experience in Vulnerability Assessment and/or Risk Analysis.
  • Proven experience in implementing RMF policies and FISMA compliance reporting.
  • Experience with DISA STIGs, ACAS scans, and/or SCC scans.
  • Certification in one or more recognized security certifications is required.
