  • Insurance Verification and Eligibility: Confirm insurance eligibility and verify active and participating coverage, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payment processing.
  • Scheduling and Reminders: Schedule return appointments and set up reminder notifications, ensuring patients receive timely and effective communication about their appointments and care.
  • Customer Service and Support: Provide professional and courteous assistance to doctors, staff, patients, and visitors, ensuring a positive and respectful experience for all.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information, adhering to strict confidentiality and security protocols.
  • Reception Area Maintenance: Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and well-maintained, providing a welcoming and professional environment for patients and staff.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining proper inventory levels of retail items, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, staff, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; one or more years of experience working in a medical practice preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Compassionate and able to establish confidence and trust with patients; ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress; highly energetic with a positive attitude; strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge required; experience with NextGen, Microsoft, and Clearwave preferred.
