Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Science and Technology

Join the dynamic team at Moderna as a Senior Engineer in Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T). In this crucial position, you will be instrumental in facilitating the efficient production of specialized small molecules, including lipids and nucleotides, at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) across various regions.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer, you will:
- Assist in the transfer of technology for clinical and commercial products to CMOs.
- Provide expert technical guidance for cGMP manufacturing processes at CMOs, which includes drafting essential technology transfer documentation and managing change controls and deviations.
- Evaluate manufacturing performance through comprehensive data analysis, prepare manufacturing summary reports, and maintain organized data repositories.
- Lead cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and enhancing manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Develop and implement protocols that support process characterization and equipment scaling in a cGMP environment.
- Ensure alignment with global manufacturing sites by sharing knowledge, data, and solutions.
Qualifications
Education:
A degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (MS, Ph.D.) is preferred.
Experience:
Over 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotechnology sectors, with a proven track record in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance within regulated environments.
