Job Title: Patient Care Manager
Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Manager at Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients move through our patient process efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to manage new patient referrals, oversee timely and efficient scheduling, and maintain open communication with referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Referral Management: Ensure that new referrals are processed promptly, and patients are scheduled for appointments in a timely manner. Collaborate with the SDR and CSR to ensure that referral sources are updated on the status of patients being scheduled.
- Billing and Documentation: Follow up with referral sources within 72 hours of each patient appointment to ensure that all treatment recommendations have been properly coordinated and completed. Ensure that outside reports are collected and uploaded for clinic review.
- Referral Source Development: Partner with AE's and PM's to develop plans for referral sources to achieve top status. Identify trends and troubleshoot issues with referral sources in a timely and efficient manner.
- Record Management: Oversee prompt response time for medical records requests and work with referral sources to maximize treatment based on available case limits.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of medical or legal case management experience.
- World-class knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to deliver clear, concise communication and excel as a team player.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual.
- Strong knowledge of billing and clinical operations.
