We foresee this individual operating from one of our offices, with flexibility in location. The role will require supporting local, national, and international clients facing intricate business challenges. Some travel for internal meetings and client interactions will be necessary, though extensive travel is not anticipated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide management systems, programs, policies, and standards, leveraging insights from ERM subject matter experts, particularly in the mining/minerals supply chain.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of Responsible Mining Standards and related frameworks, including IRMA, TSM, ASI, Copper Mark, RMI, ICMM, ResponsibleSteel, among others.
- Maintain a robust technical knowledge of environmental compliance and emerging legislative trends, along with stakeholder-led initiatives.
- Engage with clients through interviews at various organizational levels, and facilitate presentations, training sessions, and workshops.
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule expectations while upholding quality standards for deliverables.
- Analyze complex data and trends, translating them into clear insights and executive summaries.
- Develop strategic perspectives on demand drivers, integrated services to address client needs, and proposals for both existing and prospective clients.
- Foster and maintain client relationships, representing the full spectrum of ERM services by staying informed on trends in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability sectors.
- Encourage a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably in a hard science.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience aligned with the responsibilities outlined above.
- Experience in industries such as Refiners/Smelters or Mining.
- Familiarity with the mining/metal supply chain and industry standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at producing clear deliverables for diverse audiences.
- Direct experience in developing and executing corporate strategies, organizational design, or process optimization.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining flexibility.
- Successful candidates demonstrate a positive attitude, a commitment to outstanding client service, and a drive to contribute to business growth.
- MBA or a joint master's degree or professional certification in an environment-related field is preferred.
- Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 14001, SA 8000, APSCA, or CSCA is advantageous.
- Experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization is preferred.
- Experience in managing technical teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
