Job Title: Commercial Loan Closing Coordinator II

Job Summary:

The Commercial Loan Closing Coordinator II will be responsible for facilitating the preparation and closing of SBA, Business Banking, and Middle Market Loans. This role will act as a liaison between customers, Relationship Managers, and other outside professionals, ensuring accurate and timely loan closings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review proposed loan documents for conformance with loan approval commitments, including organization of files, review of closing documents for accuracy, and verification of receipt of all required closing documentation.
  • Coordinate and liaise with attorneys, Relationship Managers, and other professionals to schedule and ensure timely loan closings.
  • Ensure proper setup of LaserPro prepared documents and attorney-prepared documents for various loan types, including Commercial Loans, CapEx Lines, Lines of Credit, Term Notes, and CRE construction loans.
  • Coordinate post-closing items with the post-closing administrator and confirm that loans are properly established on the system by Loan Operations.
  • Interact with lenders and borrowers regarding submission of all required advance documentation and calculate closing advance figures.
  • Review borrower's requisition for accuracy and compliance with loan approval and review loan approval documentation thoroughly.
  • Perform all required due diligence for closings and loan advances, including verification of interest payments, insurance, and tax payments.
  • Create and verify loan closing statements with approved closing figures, funding criteria, and loan allocations.
  • Consistently update loan closer reports and/or construction loan reports and keep the Lender updated on the status of each loan in process.
  • Review loan documents for required release consideration and issue partial release letters and/or modification documents.
  • Maintain loan files on a current basis and respond to customer inquiries, assist the Relationship Manager, and facilitate communications with Loan Operations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of related experience in commercial loan closings.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial loan closings and ability to apply such knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral scenarios.
  • Proficient with software and systems programs, including Microsoft Office, and knowledge of LaserPro document preparation a plus.
  • Ability to manage heavy workflow, resolve problems with modest supervision, attend to detail, and perform arithmetic calculations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but experience can substitute.
Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels.
