Senior Business Development Director for Seniors

Sunrise Senior Living, a renowned provider of senior care services, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Director to spearhead our business development efforts in the Boston Metro Area. Job Description
We are looking for a results-driven individual with exceptional consultative business-to-business sales skills to develop and implement effective business development strategies that will drive qualified leads and move-ins. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, be able to handle multiple priorities, and consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Facilitating product-service education as a result of sales effort within the market.
- Targeting referrals from among the professional community, various community associations, and related providers.
- Celebrating participation of community team members in professional societies and activities, which will result in qualified leads.
- Maintaining professional relationships in the community.
- Defining and developing key macro referral sources and maintaining relationships with key area referral sources within their assigned area that have the ability to refer to multiple communities.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Providing ongoing product-service education as a result of sales effort within the market.
- Identifying both new business opportunities and new customer call points within the communities served for additional qualified leads and move-ins.
- Collaborating with Executive Directors and community sales teams on improved service delivery and problem resolution related to the accounts in their portfolio.
- Organizing trade show presentations, brochures, and other marketing material.
- Providing on-going and timely communication and follow-up to Executive Directors and Director of Sales of initiatives in progress that may generate referrals to their community.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Three to five (3-5) years' experience in consultative business-to-business sales.
- Prior experience selling to healthcare accounts or in professional business development is preferred.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
