Job Description

TowerPinkster, a leading architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, is seeking a skilled Senior Project Architect to lead small project teams through the development of construction documents. This position requires technical expertise and experience to coordinate and quality assure processes throughout each project phase. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate documents, clarification efforts, submittal review, and site observation during bidding and construction. This role provides independent work, projects of larger scope and complexity, and leadership of larger teams.

Responsibilities
  • Aid the production team in creating documents across multiple disciplines.
  • Collaborate with the project team to guide the coordination process with designers in translating the design into contract documents.
  • Develop documents during schematic design, design development, and construction document phases.
  • Support the team in completing tasks and deliverables for deadlines set and agreed to with the Project Manager.
  • Respond to Requests for Information provided by construction managers.
  • Review documents for code compliance, completeness, buildability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness of detailing.
  • Assist in communication with clients and construction managers for understanding and clarification.
  • Provide leadership to the project team in the absence of or in place of the Project Manager.
  • Partner with the project team with mentorship and training.
  • Lead and preside over team meetings in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager in Construction Administration, which may include:
    • Monitoring progress of shop drawings.
    • Pay applications.
    • Progress meetings.
    • Site visits.
    • All other job duties as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Accredited degree in Architecture; Bachelor's Degree required.
  • License, State of Indiana preferred.
  • Ten plus years' experience in the architectural profession.
  • REVIT experience required.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, standards, and codes.
  • Previous experience in construction administration.
