As a Fire Protection Engineer at Pond & Company, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and engage with clients across various markets and geographies.
Responsibilities- Work independently with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with company QC procedures
- Ability to work well within a team environment and have a positive attitude
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
- Knowledge of design software such as Revit or AutoCAD is ideal but can be trained upon hiring
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related degree
- 0-2 years of experience in fire protection engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet Apps
- Revit/AutoCAD/BIM preferred
The physical demands of this position include working at a desk in an office or cubicle, talking and hearing, reaching with hands and arms, lifting up to 10 pounds, standing, sitting, and walking. Close and color vision, depth and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus are also required.
Travel RequirementsOccasional attendance at meetings and other off-site events requires reliable transportation. Position may require occasional travel to domestic locations. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
