We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician Team Lead to join our team at St. Josephs Candler. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the installation, calibration, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of technicians in the completion of assigned preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is properly documented.
- Organize work teams to complete complex tasks, assignments, and special projects related to personal space and shop common areas, and replenishing parts and shop supplies.
- Ensure technicians are attending to their assigned duties and meeting the requirements of their pertinent key results, and fill in for the manager as directed.
- Randomly audit documentation and electronic records to ensure accuracy and completeness, and function as a preceptor to new departmental employees, orienting them to departmental policies and procedures.
- Review IPM procedures annually and revise as needed, observe manpower use and recommend changes to improve processes, and explore changes to documentation/record-keeping processes to produce operational efficiency and save staff time.
- Assist with managing TMS software and ensure electronic and hard-copy filing systems are organized and secure.
- Aid in ensuring co-workers complete their performance evaluation requirements.
- Associates of Electronics degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of in-house biomedical service technician experience required.
- None required.
