Position Overview
As a Site Engineering Specialist at Kiewit Corporation, you will be integral to the success of organizing, planning, and executing project engineering and control tasks. Your role will require excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

District Overview
Kiewit's South-Central District is a leading entity in infrastructure, focusing on heavy civil, transportation, and water resource sectors. The projects you may engage with could encompass mass grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and more.
While most of our operations are regionally concentrated in the south-central United States, we also pursue diverse projects nationwide.
We are in search of candidates who are passionate about infrastructure and dedicated to the construction industry rather than design.

Responsibilities
- Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field teams and craft supervision.
- Conduct quantity calculations through measurements and assess the percentage of completed materials and work.
- Support the preparation of work plans and packages.
- Engage in field surveying and layout support, including elevation, control points, and compiling as-built data.
- Help compile, process, and verify daily labor timesheets.
- Contribute to the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's).
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training sessions.
- Order and schedule material deliveries.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on-site.
- Supervise field operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a construction-related engineering field or equivalent experience and education.
- A minimum of 2 years of field and/or office engineering experience in the construction sector.
- Experience with heavy civil infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with construction project management systems, including scheduling, material control, estimating, and subcontract management.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and specifications.
- Willingness to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- Highly motivated with a strong commitment to excellence and initiative.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks correctly the first time.
