Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-based EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure that all employees are trained on emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential EHS risks and hazards.
  • Develop and maintain EHS metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and ensure that all EHS programs and procedures are compliant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS, with a focus on site-based EHS programs and procedures.
  • OSHA 30 training and NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of in-country safety regulatory requirements and OHSA regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and areas for improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the power generation industry.
  • Knowledge of chemical management programs and procedures.
  • Ability to travel globally with minimal notice.
